Merge Records Charity Auction

Wednesday, December 13th, 2006

Merge Records is organizing a series of charity auctions again this year. The auctions consist of Merge albums and screen-printed posters…all signed by the artists. Last year we donated a Destroyer poster that was signed by Dan Bejar. This year we donated our recent Portastatic poster (The poster promoting the Mecca show with Jason Zavala and The High Water Marks). It’s signed by Mac and presently up on Ebay! Check it out…it’s for a good cause.

POPROCKED2

Wednesday, December 13th, 2006

We were fortunate enough to be asked to be part of this event:

The American Poster Institute presents Pop Rocked 2: Gig Poster Explosion, an exhibition of rock poster art, featuring some of the Midwest’s finest poster designers, will take place at The Powerhouse Factories’ Jim Amann Gallery Friday, December 8, 2006 through January 5, 2007.
Organized jointly by Pat Jones of Powerhouse Factories and Denis Mutter of FNHarsh Design, Pop Rocked 2 will feature work by Covington KY’s Powerhouse Factories; Brian & Sara Turner from Lexington’s Cricket Press; Cincinnati based artists Keith Neltner and Rob Warnick of Small Print Press; Dayton, OH’s Denis Mutter and Scott Kustowski from FNHarsh Design and illustrator Jason Goad; Clinton Reno of GalaxyReno and artist Will Ruocco from Columbus, OH; Andrew Vastagh from Nashville’s Boss Construction.

The reception was this past Friday. The poster artists involved were invited to set up shop for a night and talk with gallery hoppers. We just want to say thanks to everyone who helped organize and who attended…it was a great way to spend a Friday night!
