You Ain’t No Picasso - Interview

Tuesday, November 17th, 2009

The music blog You Ain’t No Picasso was cool enough to ask us a few questions! Some of the topics: the relevance of gigposters, gigposters.com and the site’s new book Gig Posters Volume I: Rock Show Art of the 21st Century… which we were fortunate to be included in!

Morris Book Signing

Monday, November 16th, 2009

Our signing at the Morris Book Shop was a fantastic success and we were totally flattered at the crowds of fine folks who came out to support us! We nearly sold out of all the books we had on-hand. Here are some photos of the evening:

Special thanks to everyone at the Morris Book Shop, everyone who stopped by and said hi, Mick for Djing with awesome power, and Alison Kerr who took most of these photos and allowed us to use them here. It was a great time!

You can now see the video of us on KET’s Kentucky Life online HERE.
Our segment is the last third of the show. We were really thrilled with how it came out. KET did a great job with it.
Enjoy!

The Cricket Press - Morris Book Shop - Nov. Friday 13th!

Tuesday, November 10th, 2009

Hey Lexingtonians!
To coincide with our book signing at The Morris Book Shop this Friday the 13th, Cricket Press will also have our posters and cards-sets available during the event.

Most excitedly, we currently discovered some lost stock of previously sold-out posters! Some…real old gems! These were posters used for display at art fairs or sent away to be part of art exhibits and never returned to our regular stock. We are going to make these posters available for sale this Friday at The Morris Book Shop as a Forgotten Stock Event! There is a VERY limited number of some of these posters…so come by early!

6-8pm

CP Book Signing!

Thursday, November 5th, 2009

We are proud to present our first book called The Hand-Printed Art of Cricket Press! The book is a 154-page collection of our gig posters and art-prints through the years 2003-2009 with a wonderful intro written by Lexington’s own Matt Jordon of You Ain’t No Picasso.

The release party for our book will be Friday Nov. 13th (6-8pm) at The Morris Book Shop.

Brian and I will be there signing books…along with showcasing our current stock of gig-posters, art-prints, and holiday cards!

Stop by and say Hi!
