Our first public talk/lecture thingy…
Brian and I just finished a talk at the University of Kentucky a couple of weeks ago. It was an hour talk about how we do what we do, given during an Arts Professions class. Both Brian and I took that course while we were students at UK…and it’s basically to show kids how to make a living off of their art.

Flatstock 8 (March 16-18)
We will have a booth at the gigposter convention Flatstock again this year. The event is in Austin Texas held in the Austin Convention Center during the SXSW music festival. This will be our fourth time participating in the event…and we always have a great time…and we’ll have lots of new posters for sale. If you live in Austin or are going to attend SXSW…stop by and search for us!
Women Writers Conference Quarum (April 22)
We’re fortunate enough to do alot of the promotions for this conference, but this year I was asked to be a panelist during an event, a graphic novel quorum. I, along with 3 other talented women, will be sitting around and blabbing about the comic medium and our books. The conference is held in Lexington KY and will take place at Art’s Place downtown. It should be fun!
Purdue University Lecture (April 29-30th)
Make Like a Tree Comics, me and my comics partner Jerzy Drozd, have been asked to present a lecture and workshop at Purdue. We’re pretty jazzed about being asked and it should be a good time…you know teaching kids the benefits of comics. The talk will be on the 29th with the workshop following on the 30th.
Heroes Con (June 28-30th)
Again, Make Like a Tree Comics will have a booth during this summer’s Heroes Comic Convention. I’ll have more details on this when i have them. I just know we’re going to have quite a line-up of books available! The Convention is in Charlotte, North Carolina.
